My Relationship with the Paranormal

My Relationship with the Paranormal

People have always noticed something different about me. In a way, I think that’s why I have such a fascination with the paranormal. I spent a lot of time alone as a child, moved out of my parent’s house when I was seven and into my grandparent's house. Needless to say, this not so ordinary childhood was an emotional journey. I became unusually invested in other people’s emotions, almost as if I could feel every ounce of feeling running through them. For years I let this consume me. It made me weak. I felt like a constant enigma and conundrum to society. Everywhere I went my body sucked in energy! This paved the road to my many personal experiences with the unknown. In the midst of the chaos and commotion throughout my upbringing, I often found comfort in the idea of another spiritual realm. Between the end of the world meltdowns and hourly panic attacks, my aunt would soothe me with a juicy ghost story. Most children at that age couldn’t relate to me and my family couldn’t understand why I processed thoughts on such a deep intellectual level. I was always looking for answers because of what I felt. I became emotionally invested in the unknown in hopes of finding something or ‘someone’ I could relate to. Ghost Hunters became my religion and I grew addicted to paranormal research. I struggled to be interested in fictional stories and still do today.

Fast forward into adulthood and I started to think, maybe this hypersensitivity isn’t such a bad thing. My love for the paranormal was a natural desire. But many may not know how to get involved. It’s much simpler than you think. Friends and followers often ask how I find such fascinating places. My answer always is, get in your car and drive! When I was 19, I set out on my first road trip. I was totally unprepared. I left with very little money, slept in my car and barely ate. It wasn’t glamorous but my love for paranormal exploring sure was. Are you willing to do what it takes for a little ghost action?

Stick around for my personal explorations and a creepy bucket list of unusual places and paranormal hotspots!
